The Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) is Saxony's central development institute, which promotes investment transactions on behalf of the state. The current headquarters in Dresden are to be relocated to Leipzig. 

The elevated, four-storey office building is to create space for around 600 employees north of the city centre near Leipzig's main railway station.
The heart of the new SAB building will be a square glass atrium in the centre. In combination with the ceiling-high glass façade of the upper floors, the atrium allows a great use of daylight.

Beneath the glass atrium, a semi-public space with a reception, cafés and seating areas will be created. The greening of the inner courtyard with olive trees and plants creates a natural atmosphere and invites you to linger. Two identical vertical access cores with panorama lifts and spiral staircases connect to the atrium.

The office floors above can be used flexibly and reversibly. The building offers modern workplaces with a flexible space structure. On each floor, the teams have an open, non-hierarchical working environment at their disposal. With the exception of internal partition walls, the offices have glass facades.
