When children move out of their homes, the housing needs of their parents often change as well. In this case, the owners wanted a house in bungalow style with all rooms on the ground floor. Ben Dieckmann developed a design for this idea. The staggered upper floor remains open and can be used to extend the living space if required.

The large plot of land and the lush vegetation allow for a wide and storey-high glazing of the living room and the bedroom without disturbing the privacy of the residents. At the same time a connection between inside and outside is created.

The project was realized by another architect. The arrangement of the entrance, library, living room, garage and adjoining rooms remained in accordance with Ben Dieckmann's design.
